Everyone saying these are just normal-looking burgers hadnât eaten at JBâs. Japan has a way of taking American things and making them more American than previously thought possible. JB burgers are the Platonic ideal of an American flat-top burger. They are crack in burger form.

Friendlyâs 1970s and 80s cheeseburger on toast with fries. Couldnât be beat. This one looks pretty good though.

Why go to Japan and have something you could get anywhere in America? Then claim it is somehow better. That would be like claiming Americans have a better handle on sushi than the Japanese. Everybody knows the answer to that statement. Sorry. Not impressed.

Streets you say? Thatâs an interesting measurement to use, not years, not light years, not decades or lifetimes, but streets? I sure hope we can catch them on the next block over a few streets ahead!
I mean, to be fair there is a Whataburger a few streets over from my house that serves their Patty Melt on Texas Toast I mean Shokupan, I bet they would even put it on a bun if I asked!
Thereâs a Wendyâs a few streets from me that serves up an exquisite Baconator on a Pretzel bun, a Chilliâs streets from me that puts their burgers on Brioche, hell thereâs even a Jack N the Box just down the street who on occasion if you know how to order it properly will put their meet and cheese between some some Sourdough Bread, & thatâs a fact Jack!!! Those are all just big chain places that are on every corner in America. Not to mention all the mom & pop burger joints spread out in the different communities a few streets down, thatâs where you really start getting into the crazy wacky cuckoo far fetched deliciousness of a CheeseburgerâŠâŠ.I mean the possibilities are endless!
You might of had me at Sushi or Fried Rice, but Cheeseburgers? Come on bro, this is America, land of the Obese and Gluttony. Youâre not gonna find more options to pile onto your Meat & Cheese than here!

I bet OP regrets making the title lol. These look basic. Theres a video review on burgers by awesome food review where he showcases some of the bizarre choices that japan makes when it comes to burgers. You should watch that and see how japan has gone rogue with burgers.

While I canât judge this burger, the burgers I did have in Japan, while good to decent, didnât quite hit the mark in comparison to American burgers. However, I am from California, so itâs a tough bar to cross.
